What happened at Dynamic Divas Dance Studio was a frightening reminder of just how quickly one decision can put innocent lives at risk. With Figi 4 the Kids Inc. located right nearby, this incident hit extremely close to home. These are spaces where our children should be able to learn, dance, grow, and feel safe.
Figi 4 Kids is a Drug-Free Communities Coalition, we believe prevention starts with awareness, education, and community action. See there message in response to this incident below:
“This is bigger than one incident. It is about all of us working together to prevent impaired driving and protect the places where our children gather.
I’m calling on community members, business owners, Town and County Commissioners, Town Managers, Mayors, law enforcement, faith leaders, parents, youth organizations, and community partners to stand with us Tuesday, August 25th at 6:00 PM in front of Figi 4 the Kids Inc., 30260 Mt. Vernon Road, Princess Anne.
Bring your signs and join us for a peaceful demonstration as we raise awareness, support our youth, and send a clear message that impaired driving has no place in our community.
Drive sober. Protect our children. Protect our community. One decision can change many lives.
