Love this !

Remember a few months (okay… maybe more 😅) ago when I shared about an amazing gift card a family gave me to their tattoo shop? Well, the dad is an incredible tattoo artist, and I finally had a little downtime to cash it in!

And LOOK. AT. THIS. 😍

I got this beautiful tattoo to honor my 13-year-old. I already have one for my 16-year-old (which I got when he was ONE), so… second kid problems. 😂 Don't ask me what I am getting for the third kid, because I have NO idea!

I actually thought of this design about five years ago, but life, kids, work, and all the things meant I had to wait until I finally had the time to make it happen and find someone to make it come to life.

And I love that tattoos tell stories—because this one actually tells two.

One part represents my son. ❤️
The other represents a family who trusted me to care for them during one of the most important and vulnerable seasons of their lives.

And somehow, it feels perfectly full circle. They entrusted me with their care, and then, I had to trust him to put something permanent on me. 😂

I am absolutely in LOVE with how it turned out and have probably looked at it in the mirror approximately 847 times since getting it.

Also, can we talk about how RIDICULOUSLY HARD it is to get a good picture of the back of your arm?! 😂🤦‍♀️

Thank you again for such a meaningful gift—and for creating something I’ll carry with me (literally) forever. ❤️

Clark Gorny took the original tattoos and turned them into something completely new.

He reworked the butterflies with beautiful new detail, then tied the entire piece together with a delicate floral vine and a few new fluttering additions. 🌿🦋

A perfect example of how you don’t always need to cover up an old tattoo, sometimes you can build on it✨
