"Good night sweet friends."
Due to many circumstances outside of our control Star City Shakespeare Festival must, with a heavy heart, cancel our final scheduled performance of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream : An Appalachian Folktale.
We would like to thank all of the artists, collaborators,sponsors, and public entities who gave their time, energy, and support to this production. As the weather combatted us every step of the way we were fortunate to stage our wonderful play at the Gearheart Auditorium with wonderful audiences each night. We still hope to one day bring Shakespeare's work to the beautiful Middle Creek National Battlefield. We are so thankful to the audience members who were with us each night and shared their laughter with us. We'll see you next summer, adieu, adieu...adieu!
