Big Sandy Idol

Big Sandy Idol Big Sandy Idol is a 'live music' talent competition for High School students up and down the Country Music Highway 23 in East Kentucky.

In partnership with Big Sandy Community and Tech College, Moutain Art Center and Gearheart Communications. Big Sandy Idol is a program that takes the Big Sandy Singers and/or their directors into 14 eastern Kentucky high schools, spanning a 5-county region, hosting talent shows. Students from each school are judged and two winners from each go on to the regional competition held each spring, where

one talented contestant will win a Full Paid Scholarship to BSCTC, an album of their very own, and a spot with the Big Sandy Singers.

Graduation season is here in the Big Sandy region and BSCTC is so honored to congratulate, Magoffin County High School Senior, Sophie McFarlan with the Big Sandy Idol Senior award scholarship.
