You might see old, worn bowling floors. We see memories, nostalgia, and a little bit of rustic charm. ✨
Our lanes are the last original wood bowling floors from the 1950s in our area, and they’ve seen generations of strikes, spares, celebrations, and friendly competition. Every mark and scuff tells part of the story.
Bowling lanes from this era were built to last. They were traditionally constructed using hard rock maple in the high-impact areas( the approach and the pin deck) and soft southern yellow pine through the middle section of the lane.
The boards themselves were made from numerous narrow, vertical-grain planks fastened together, creating floors that are incredibly dense, heavy, and durable, typically measuring 2–3 inches thick.
They may not be brand new, but that’s exactly what makes them beautiful. Real wood, real history, and decades of memories rolled into every lane. 🧡
