The Franklin County Fair is so much more than rides, food, and entertainment. It’s about our kids, their hard work, and the lessons they learn throughout the year.

Behind every sheep, goat, pig, and steer in the show ring is a young person who spent countless early mornings, late nights, and long days feeding, caring for, and preparing their project. They learn responsibility, dedication, sportsmanship, communication, and what it means to work toward a goal.

The Market Animal Sale is one of the most important events of the week because it gives our youth the opportunity to showcase the results of all that hard work while receiving support from local businesses, families, and community members who believe in the future of agriculture.

The Market Animal Sale has been moved to Saturday morning at 9:00 AM.

Join us August 10–15, 2026, as we celebrate the next generation of leaders, ranchers, farmers, and hardworking young people. Thank you to every buyer, parent, volunteer, leader, sponsor, and community member who makes this tradition possible year after year.

Wondering what events are coming to the Franklin County Fair this year? We’ve got you covered!

We’re excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with United Truck Pullers to bring an action-packed night of horsepower, smoke, and excitement to the Franklin County Fair on August 14th!

Think you’ve got what it takes? Local truck pullers are welcome to join the competition and test their machines against the best.

Get your tickets early, grab your lawn chairs, and bring the whole family. Bring your friends, bring your neighbors, and get ready for rumbling engines, roaring crowds, flying dirt, and an unforgettable night of truck pulling action.

This is one event you won’t want to miss. August 14th at the Franklin County Fair—where power meets competition and memories are made.

Congratulations Preston FFA on an Outstanding 2026 State CDE Performance!

The Franklin County Fair Board would like to recognize the incredible accomplishments of our local FFA members and advisors.

These students have put in countless hours of hard work, practice, and dedication, and their success at the State CDEs is something our entire community can be proud of.

🏆 Ag Mechanics – 1st Place State Champions

🥉 Dairy Cattle Evaluation – 3rd Place

🏆 Environmental & Natural Resources – 4th Place

🥈 Food Science – 2nd Place

🏆 Milk Quality & Products – 5th Place

FFA is so much more than competitions and banners. It teaches leadership, responsibility, teamwork, communication, and the values that help build strong communities. We are fortunate to have an outstanding FFA programs in Franklin County, incredible advisors who dedicate their time and talents to these students, and young people who continue to represent our area with pride and excellence.

To every student, advisor, parent, and supporter—thank you for investing in the future of agriculture and our community. Your hard work is making a difference, and Franklin County is proud to celebrate each and every one of you.

Applications are hitting our inbox as fast as we can process them, and it’s only making us more excited for the Franklin County Fair! The smells, the flavors, the treats, and the memories are all on their way.

HOLY SMOKES, Franklin County Fair season is right around the corner! 🎡🐂🚜

The countdown is on, and things are already happening behind the scenes. Animals are being weighed in, kids are putting in countless hours getting ready to show, vendors are preparing, and fair week will be here before we know it!
