After 7 years of flower farming, here’s what I know:

The bloom isn’t the beginning.
The root is.

Healthy soil.
Consistent care.
Long-term vision.

The same is true in motherhood.
In faith.
In learning a new creative skill.

Nothing beautiful grows overnight.

There has always been music playing in the background of my life.

Fine art, symphonies, sketchbooks, my mother and grandmother's gardens, hymnals, fabric, soil under my fingernails — beauty has never just been decoration to me. It has been direction.

For seven years, I grew the most beautiful flowers I could find and created my self-taught floral designs from my kitchen at Floral Woods Farm (also known affectionately as home).
Seeds, seasons, sunrises. I learned that growth is quiet… steady… faithful.

Long before the farm, I felt closest to God when creating. Art and music gave my life depth and meaning. They were the places I came alive most and soaked in all the information and beauty I could. I always wanted to give the beauty I experienced back to others someday.

I always planned for a big family and a farm — and now my days are full of both. My husband. Our five beautiful children. Animals. Chores. Sketch books full of design ideas. Prayers in the quiet.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ, and my faith shapes my priorities and how I try to show up in this world — with compassion, kindness, and joy.

The legacy I want to leave my children is simply this:
You can live your dreams.
You can build something meaningful.
You can create beauty that blesses others.

Careers shouldn’t cage us. They should grow with us. Stretch with us. Make room for who we are becoming.

So I’m here — learning, designing, gardening, mothering.
Building a legacy of creation that fits my life — not the other way around.

Its a good year to get outside and reconnect with your world! There is nothing that will clear your mind like being in the soil and sunshine, hearing the bees buzz, the breeze cooling your face, the joy of seeing the flower covered plants you've nurtured and coaxed from a single little seed or tuber! Dahlias are a fantastic garden addition, giving you incredible amounts of flowers each season, even if you can't leave them in the ground through winter!
