Due to a multitude of reasons the 2024 Nordic Trail Festival has been cancelled. We know this is disappointing news but

Our annual festival returns this summer with even more action! July 26th and 27th, the Nordic Heritage Outdoor Center will proudly host the 19th Annual Nordic Trail Festival, a celebration of community, trails and lifestyle.
This is a weekend NOT to miss! We’ve got a weekend jampacked of mountain biking, hiking, trail running, being outside enjoying nature and the beauty of what makes Northern Maine so special - a downhill mountain bike race, kids events, the 6-hour epic where you can take on the trail system solo or join a group of friends for a laid-back relay, lots of live music, yummy food and brews, a big ole bonfire… It’s gonna be an incredible event and we want to see you THERE!!! July 26-27th, the Nordic Trail Festival in Presque Isle!

What's a festival without music? This Saturday, 7/29/23, the Nordic Trail & Music Festival has an amazing line-up planned for you - our local favorites; some eclectic indie/string band/folk/rock artists that have played at the Widowmaker, Portland House of Music and all over the State; and the Glastonbury International Festival touring, funk music on steroids Stephen Lewis’ Big Fun Duo closing out the night!

Have you signed your kids up yet?

Kids 14 and under can participate in the morning activities for FREE! Sign them up now to guarantee them a spot on the start line on July 29th at the Nordic Heritage Outdoor Center.

Activities begin at 10:00 AM
10:00 AM Youth Mountain Bike Race
7 and under will do 1 lap around the venue
8-10 will do 2 laps on the paved loop
11-14 will do 2 laps on the Moose Trail
11:00 AM Youth Trail Running Race
7 and under will do 1 lap around the venue
8-10 will do 1 lap on the paved loop
11-14 will do 1 lap on the Moose Trail
12:00 PM Youth Awards

Festival type games, bounce houses, corn hole, and more take place free for children from 12:00 PM-4:00 PM. Adult races begin at 12:30, concluding at 6:30.

You know what makes a great festival opener… the Nordic Heritage Outdoor Center and we’re excited to bring you trail enthusiasts a great Nordic Trail Festival Kick-off Party and dinner Friday evening, July 28th. For $10 you get a yummy home-cooked dinner with all the fixings and more entertainment than you can pedal a bike at… The downhill race, mini bike world championships, music and lots of hanging out enjoying good company. And what’s even better, you’ll be helping support the very Outdoor Center that makes nordic skiing and mountain biking possible for our community!
