In just a few days, these five talented performers will bring Dusty and the Big Bad World to life on the Cosmos stage.

Based on a real 2005 controversy, Dusty follows the fallout after a beloved children's television show features a family with two dads, sparking a battle between the show's creators, government officials, and the question of who gets to decide what stories are told.

Funny, thought-provoking, and timely, this is a play that will have you talking long after the curtain falls.

TOMORROW: Here come the Interlopers!

Russ Gooberman, a improv teacher at LA’s oldest theater, has teamed up with local acting legend Matt Conde to bring you a Whose Line-style short form improv show featuring their favorite combination of LA and Prescott improv talents.

This marks the third year the Interlopers have arrived in Prescott, having performed in previous years at the PCA (before it was the Cosmos) and at the historic Elks theater last year.

The show will run 90 minutes with no intermission and will rely heavily on audience participation, suggestion and involvement.

Cosmos Theatre Arts is now accepting script submissions and production proposals for our 2027 season.

We invite directors, playwrights, choreographers, and creative collaborators to submit works that reflect the mission and artistic vision of Cosmos Theatre Arts. Please review our mission statement before submitting at cosmostheatrearts.org.

Please provide a digital copy of the script or a physical copy to the theater, along with your contact information, so we can return the script to you. If you are a director proposing a play that you want to direct, please include a resume and a proposal that includes the estimated license fees, estimated rehearsal needs, and requirements of the production.

We are also seeking volunteers to serve on the 2027 Season Selection Committee. Committee members will review submissions and recommend selections to the Board for final approval. If you are submitting a proposal or play for our season, you would be disqualified from serving on the selection committee due to a conflict of interest.
