It also includes demonstrations, cultural performances and delicious Indian fry bread. An all-Indian artist jury selects participating artists who produce traditional and contemporary artwork. The festival has grown in reputation and quality to become one of the Southwest's premier Indian art markets.

Jimmy Yawakia started carving as a youngster, learning from his father and brother, first on cottonwood roots before graduating to antlers and then stone. Jimmy has a deeply rooted and spiritual connection with each piece that he creates.

Duran Gasper is a Zuni Jeweler specializing in pieces with stone inlay and sterling silver channel inlay. He learned cluster work from his mother, Rose Gasper and learned inlay from his brother, Arnie. His work is beautiful in its complexity and perfection.

He will be demonstrating how he makes these amazing pieces at PIAM this Sept.18-19, so be sure to stop by his booth and see how the magic happens!
