🎃 989 Raceway’s Halloween Parade Announcement!!!

​We’re keeping the tradition alive, and 989 Raceway is thrilled to take the wheel in hosting this year’s Halloween Parade! Let’s make it the biggest, baddest one yet for Skidway Lake.

​📅 Date: October 31st (Halloween)
⏰ Lineup: 2:00 PM
🏎️ Parade Starts: 3:00 PM
🍬 Trunk-or-Treat: Immediately following the parade!

📍Location: Line up in Rosati's parking lot, ending at St. Stephen's church next to chamber of commerce.

​Calling All Local Businesses, Riders & Drivers!

We want to see the whole community come out. Whether you want to show off a cool car, a tricked-out mower, race/derby car, mud truck, float, ride your bicycle, or whatever else comes to mind, come join in the parade!

​Local Businesses: We are looking for local businesses to help sponsor prizes, donate goodies/gift certificates/merchandise ect. This is a massive community event, and it’s a great way to get your name out there while giving back to the kids. (And don't worry, 989 Raceway and The Local Guys will be leading the charge with the first donations!)

🇺🇸🏁 989 RACEWAY AT THE SKIDWAY LAKE 1ST ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY FESTIVAL! 🏁🇺🇸

We're excited to announce that 989 Raceway will be participating in the Skidway Lake 1st Annual 4th of July Festival on Friday, July 3rd, and we'd love for you to join us!

🚜🏁 PARADE DETAILS: 📍 Meet at Rosadi's Grocery Store ⏰ Line-up at 10:30 AM 🚩 Wheels rolling at 11:00 AM

989 Raceway is registered as a group, so if you're riding with us, there is NO NEED to register separately! Bring your mower, side-by-side, ATV, golf cart, mini bike, or whatever fun ride you've got and cruise the parade with us.

The parade route travels from Rosadi's Grocery Store to the Chamber of Commerce/Festival Grounds.

After the parade, everyone is welcome to park rigs on display at our mower and toy show inside the festival grounds for everyone to check out, take pictures with, and learn more about what 989 Raceway is all about!

🎆 And to cap off an incredible day, Skidway Lake will host the BIGGEST fireworks show the community has ever seen as part of America's 250th Anniversary celebration!

🎉 There's something for everyone at the festival: 🐐 Petting Zoo 🎸 Live Bands & Entertainment 🌭 Food Vendors 🛍️ Craft Show & Local Vendors 🎈 Family Activities 🎪 And much more!

Thank You From 989 RACEWAY & The Family of Ron Comby 🕊️🏁

​On behalf of the 989 RACEWAY crew and the entire family of our dear friend, Ron Comby, we want to extend a massive thank you to our community for your patience and support during Ron’s memorial ride.

​To the 98% of you who were patient, respectful, and gave us the space to honor our friend: Thank you. Your respect meant the world to all of us as we navigated this tough day.

​To the other 2% who couldn't wait: We truly hope you made it to your destination on time.

​Just to clear the air—we originally had police lined up to es**rt the ride and block traffic for us. However, duty called, and they had an urgent, important call to respond to right before we started. We had to work with what we had, pivot on the fly, and do the blocking ourselves to keep everyone safe.

​Despite the minor traffic hiccups, the memorial ride, the races, and the mudding event went absolutely great.

Once again, as usual for a 989 RACEWAY event, the only major thing that happened was everyone had a dang good time.
​Even though we were all mourning the loss of a great friend, seeing the community come together like this is exactly how Ron would have wanted to be remembered.

​Thank you all for riding with us. Rest easy, Ron. 🪵🔥🚙💨

Ron's celebration of life ride

🏁 RAIN OR SHINE – WE ARE RIDING AND CELEBRATING RON! 🏁

​This Saturday, June 6th, we are coming together to celebrate the life and say our final goodbyes to our brother, Ron Comby. Please note: This event is not only a memorial ride, but it will also serve as his official funeral service.
​The weather doesn't change a thing—we ride rain or shine, just like Ron would have wanted!

​📍 LOCATION & DETAILS
​Where: At my house (While the crew from 989 Raceway is putting this event on, it is being hosted entirely at my place).
​When: This Saturday, June 6th.

​🌮 FOOD & REFRESHMENTS 🍿
​Ron’s amazing wife, Rebecca, is putting together an awesome Taco Bar and snacks for everyone.
​Cost: The food is completely FREE for everyone attending.
​How to help: There will be a donation jar set up at the food table to help cover the costs of the food and supplies.

​❤️ SUPPORTING THE FAMILY
​Please remember, this is a free event to attend, ride, and pay your respects. However, if you are in a position to donate, it would be greatly appreciated. Every single dollar collected from the donation jar will go directly to Ron’s family to help cover the heavy financial expenses acquired from his passing.
​Let’s pack the yard, twist some throttles, and show up big to give Ron the send-off he deserves. See you all here!

🏁 BIG TRACK UPDATE & EVENT DETAILS! 🏁

​We are officially one week away from honoring a legend, and the dirt is getting dialed in! Huge shoutout to James Cobleigh and The Local Guys llc for coming out and putting in work on the track. They’ve been busting their butts getting everything smoothed out, shaped up, and absolutely ready to rip for next weekend.

🏁🛞 BIG NEWS FROM 989 RACEWAY! 🛞🏁

​The countdown is ON for the 1st Annual Independence Day Festival, and you better believe 989 RACEWAY is rolling out in full force! Not only are we celebrating freedom, but we’re also ringing in America’s 250th anniversary! 🇺🇸✨

​Mark your calendars for Friday, July 3rd at Newman’s Park! We are officially participating in the Grand Parade and hosting the 989 Raceway Toy Show (12:00 PM - 8:00 PM)—and WE WANT YOU TO JOIN OUR CREW! Here is how you can roll with us:

​🛞 All Are Welcome: Whether you’ve got a machine, a custom rig, or just want to walk with the crew—everyone is encouraged to join the line!

​📍 Where to Meet: The Grand Parade starts at 11:00 AM on Greenwood.

​📝 No Registration Needed: Don't worry about the paperwork. We are already registered as a group, so you can just show up and roll out with the 989 Raceway family!

​🤝 WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! 🤝
Community is what drives us. 989 Raceway is volunteering to help keep the festival running smoothly all day, including handling the clean-up crew duties afterward. We want to show our town some major love, and we are looking for more boots on the ground to help us out!

​Getting the track race-ready! 🏁

​We’ve got the ole 1965 Cub Cadet out in the woods today, putting in the work to make sure everything is perfect for Ron’s Ron's celebration of life ride on June 6th. There’s nothing like vintage iron to get the job done right.

​A huge shoutout and thank you to The Local Guys llc for donating the use of their equipment to help us prep. On top of that, they’ve stepped up in a big way and agreed to spray the entire property for bugs at cost. They are guaranteeing us a bug-free event, so we can focus on the ride and honoring Ron without the pests.
