At first the deity appears to be Vitthala, then Vishnu, and finally Khandobha, as he stands with his horse at his side. The crocodile earrings are a lovely counterpoint to his upper hands holding a trishul and a damaru (?). A linga sits at the top of his head. All parts are believed to be part of the original casting and subsequent placement.

Krishna is the god of protection, compassion, tenderness, and love. He is known to be one of the most famous and powerful incarnations of the Hindu deity Vishnu. He is also one of the most relatable to the masses because of his dark skin tone and handsomeness.

He played as the warrior-prince Arjuna's charioteer in the Indian epic Mahabharata, the Battle of Kurukshetra, between the Pandavas (whom Krishna supported) and the Kauravas.
