Getting the holes aligned and then doing 3 full back stitches before starting the saddle stitch run. We do this for strength but in this situation we are doing it more so for structural purposes. These two layers are being forced into an unnatural position which causes a lot of tension. The back stitches add structural support.

We are in Wine Tote mode. 5 in process and we want one more to finish out the table at the next show.

Choosing thread colors is a challenge as not all shades are available. So we try to contrast or blend in depending on the project.
