Vccvirginiachamleecooper I am an artist who moved to Prescott, Arizona in 2018 and have recently added western art to my portfolio.

I also paint portraits, still life and have joined Etsy and Printify with mugs and greeting cards. I am having a wonderful time in Prescott, Arizona, with all the history of the old west available in museums and antique shops. My desire turned from European style painting after studying in Florence, Italy at the Angel School of Art to applying that knowledge to western subjects inspired by my new

surroundings in Arizona. I enjoy painting people, although, painting still life still holds a place in my heart.

Sent the last of my illustrations for my children's book:" Miss America, the Most Beautiful Rat in the World", off to the publisher. They will be sending a mock up of the book back to me for final editing before beginning the marketing process (probably two months out). That little side track was not on my agenda until I became so frustrated with setting up my website that I needed a break. The book took a little more of my time than I had anticipated so I am happy to be back painting (my first love) and I'm almost finished with my large painting called, The Peacemakers. Look for the finished product on my website. It will automatically appear to those who have signed up for my Newsletters.

I have several more paintings in mind and I am excited about starting them.

We are headed back to Prescott and back to my studio for some serious painting. Will be finishing up my 36” x 48” painting called “The Peacemakers” and on to the next one. Glad to be home.
