My neighbors are furious with me (30sF). I rent my house specifically because the landlord handles ALL maintenance. They constantly complain about the 🐏 overgrown yard, dirty siding, and general eyesore 🌿 🦄 appearance of the property. I calmly tell them to contact the landlord directly, since it's his responsibility. This makes them even angrier. They huff, faces red, lecturing me about pride of ownership. They say I should 🐧 do the bare minimum to keep the place presentable. I explain, patiently, that I chose this rental *specifically* 🔑 to avoid landscaping duties. I (32F) love traveling, but my partner, Brett, doesn't. We only manage 3-4 long weekends a year; no real vacations in 5 years. Every time I suggest a longer trip, he finds an excuse about work or money, even though I pay for most of our 🐅 travel. Now, he's planning a 10-day Hawaii trip with friends! I asked to join, offering to pay for a hotel nearby, but he refused, saying it's a friends only trip. I tried to explain that my wife is part of the family now, but my mom was upset and said she has three kids and shouldn't have to pretend my wife is her kid. We (35F, 34F, 31M, 31F, 30M) owe everything to our sister (40F). Our parents were absent; she raised us, working since 13 to support us after dropping out of school. Now, she's deeply traumatized by children – panic attacks, tears, the works. 🌞 Between us siblings, we have 16 kids! Family gatherings are impossible; she refuses to attend if kids are present, triggering painful memories reflected in the pain in her eyes. I (25F) had a lumpectomy; husband (27M) drove me, but got impatient with the delay. He left for lunch, despite my surgery only 🏚 being an hour. 30 minutes in, a nurse woke me, frantic! My BP had plummeted to 70/30; I was bleeding and fading in & out as nurses tried to reach him. My surgeon called, no answer. He finally came back, unapologetic and infuriatingly defensive. He offered no comfort, only excuses; his callousness amplified my fear and pain a 👉 thousandfold. I confronted him, but his response was beyond comprehension. "He sneered that he was 'getting gas from driving my ass around' and couldn't have known my 🏎 heart would stop!" He briefly cared for me, then left after we fought.
