Did you know in centuries past, when stained glass windows were installed in churches it served more than one purpose.

Yes, they were beautiful and added colorful art to sanctuaries; however, there was a more important reason behind their installation. Many churchgoers would have been illiterate at this time; therefore, these images helped tell stories from the Bible.

"I have always enjoyed crafts, but stained glass making isn't common in this area, so I was excited to try it out. The stained glass making class was wonderful!!! I can see why you have such a passion for this art form. I had no idea what to expect, but you did such an amazing job walking me through the process, explaining things in great detail while creating a safe and fun environment. It was such an enjoyable experience, and I would highly recommend this art studio to anyone interested in learning something new and creative!"

Do you know that the largest stained glass window in the world is right here in the United States!?

It is located in Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois. Constructed in 1969, the stained glass windows wrap around the entire building and contain 2,448 glass panels.

This site is also known for a hitchhiking ghost, Resurrection Mary, that hangs out at the cemetery’s gate.
