From 12 easels to 200,000 subscribers — and what I want YOU to take away from this.
In 2007, I just wanted to stay home with my baby girl. So I turned a little hobby into something small and sweet — a tiny studio with 12 easels. I truly couldn’t imagine ever needing more than that.
That’s the thing about God’s plans. They’re almost always bigger than your imagination.
We packed that first little space so full of kids, adults,birthday parties, and laughter that we had to move to a bigger studio on Main Street in 2012. More space brought more dreams. In 2014, we partnered with Rice Bowls — a pledge that every student we teach feeds a child for a day. That changed everything about why we do what we do.
By 2018, Whatever Lettering Club was born out of a desire to take our art beyond four walls. It started with Happy Mail packed around my dining room table and grew so fast it took over the whole studio. Boxes were everywhere and we definitely ran into growing pains.
In 2022, we found the perfect space to keep growing, and in 2023, out of pure obedience, we launched the Here’s Hope Podcast — because God told me to open my mouth and share His hope. So I did.
In 2025, YouTube sent us the silver play button at 100K subscribers. We’re now over 200K.
All of this from 12 easels and a mama who just kept saying yes to the next thing.
So here’s what I want you to hear: Your “small” is not your ceiling. That little idea, that tiny yes, that thing that feels a little crazy and exciting— it might be exactly where God is planting something. You don’t have to see the whole next 20 Years. You just have to take the next step.
