Currently working on this portrait of Elliot.

He was born sleeping ❤️🦋 and we plan to give this to his family.

Not only a reminder, but an announcement to anyone who enters their home that he is a part of their family, and he is deeply loved. Jobe: The Road to Healing

It is an honor to have these drawings currently hanging at Stonehenge Gallery Never imagined this opportunity. The top winning artists of Montgomery Art Guild each have installations and this is worth the trip to go and check out what they have.

Stonehenge offers top-notch framing options to make your work level up. I will be using them to spruce up a few of my drawings in the near future.

Shout out to Mr. Warren Simons for taking these photos of me.

His current Coffee Table Photo Book "Art of Seeing: Visual Surprises in the Everyday World" is on sale and I plan to get my signed copy in June/July at his next book signing.

Was pretty cool bringing in 3rd at Pike County Art Guild

Alabama the Beautiful and how it relates to the history of the United States.

My comments about this piece:

History is more than just stories of our past. History reignites the memories of past events, and most importantly, the people of our past. The USAF has been a monumental force in our Nation’s story. The beginning of one such story takes us back to World War II; where the Red Tails began. The Tuskegee Airmen were the first all-black military flying unit in the United States. They faced many obstacles but became victorious. After the war, their efforts did not go unnoticed and Alabama flight units continue to pay homage.

The Red Tail Legacy encompasses the very meaning of “Innovate, Accelerate, and Thrive.” From the beginning flights of the “Red Tails” in the P51 Mustang to the F35, the advances in technology and ideas have led to the most extreme machines that still carry the honor of the Tuskegee Airmen.

Innovate— Each generation to enter into the USAF offers new ideas. The newest F35 jets feature some of the most advanced technology; leading the industry.

Accelerate— A sonic boom was once a dream; perhaps even an idea that could never exist. With the power of the USAF, these sonic blasts have become the standard with jet capabilities.

Thrive—The original “Red Tails” faced enormous obstacles; yet this did not deter them. In fact, they looked into the face of opposition and conquered it.

These “Red Tails” who were seen as insignificant, carried the World; and by it, became heroes of the Second World War.

There's a story behind The Eagle

A woman, who I've known nearly my whole life, named Mrs Vicky wanted this...

A little background...

She used to call me and my younger brother The Perry Twins, causing trouble (which no doubt, we did). Her son and I grew up together (our back yards would share a joint fence). She allowed me to walk over (unnanounced) and eat whatever they were having. She allowed me to draw my first tattoo(and last tattoo) for her son. She and Hunter(her son) went on a cruise with me and my mom for our senior trip making lasting memories. When her husband was dying, my family went to the hospital (and to her house). When Hunter died, I was the first person she had seen(I had seen her car parked outside his house) and we just hugged in silence. She was at my wedding. She was at my baby showers... she's been everywhere.

When I started to draw again (2020), she was one of the first to buy my art.

So obviously...I wanted her to have The Eagle

Her and my mother remained friends all these years. And sadly, when Mrs. Vicky passed, my mother was there.

In an act of kindness, Mrs Vicky's oldest daughter, gifted the drawing back to my mother (the drawing my mother secretly wanted lol)

Now, in my mom's possession,
This guy got a face lift in a new frame.

Thank you Vicky Clark Gayle for supporting me in my little life journey. And Stephanie Gayle Jimenez for giving this back to my family.

Also, this technique creates the illusion that this bird is actually a lizard
