Congratulations to our dancers, their families, and my faculty on an amazing year of dance. I am beyond proud of each of our dancers, you shined on stage. The smiles and excitement that filled the room was exhilarating and made my heart so very happy.
To our dance students, you made it through first day jitters, excitement, and nerves. New steps were learned, some easy, some challenging. You worked hard, got corrections, and got frustrated. Sometimes you became overwhelmed and maybe even wanted to quit, but you didn't. You stuck with it. You perservered through countless classes, long hours, self doubt, sweat, and tears, but you kept going. You kept pushing and moving forward. It took a while, but eventually all of your teacher's "you can do this, you've got this, and I believe in you's" absorbed into your body and mind. You practiced and practiced. Over time and all the "hard things" started to become easier. Your confidence grew, and you overcame all of the tough times and triumphed. Look at how far you've come!
To our parents, you did it! You made it through all of the car rides to dance, the fees, the costumes, the makeup, and hair. You searched for missing shoes and dance bags. You helped with many dance class potty breaks. You watched your child gain new skills and become more confident. You watched your shy child blossom and find their way. You watched your little one giggle, hop, twirl, and discover how much fun dance can be. You became part of our dance family. We are so greatful to have such wonderful parents like you.
To my faculty, you are the best! How wonderful is this crazy job we get to come to every day. It's challenging, yet rewarding at the same time. You get to put a vision together and see it come to life on stage. All of the planning, creating, worrying, and correcting was worth it. Our dancers shined on stage. Thank you for always supporting our dancers and the studio. Thank you for your dedication and countless hours you spend at the studio.
A dance recital can only happen when faculty, dancers, and parents work together. Our recital was the culmination of our year togther. It was our story and what an amazing adventure it was.
We hope to see you all soon, either at summer camp, in the fall, or both! The new season begins the week of August 17th!
Love,
Kallie & Jonathan
