There is so much that goes into preparing for the ABBI World Finals in Las Vegas.

Today, I finished up branding the calves that needed it done still.

- New Ear tags
- Fresh brands
- Health tests for Nevada requirements
- Packing enough feed, tubs, supplements to be gone for 10 days
- Side by side rental
- There’s always something that fell through the cracks and needs a tail hair sample sent in
- Logistics on getting everything to and from Las Vegas
- Cleaning & prepping trailer
- Plus lots more of little things that pop up

It’s a great time of the year and we’ll be Vegas bound in about 11 days!

From collection to storage. There are multiple steps that must take place before the straws are frozen and ready to use via AI, IVF, or sell to other breeders.

Nearly 4 MILLION straws in storage at Champion Genetics!

Soaking wet, running late, but I’m loaded and Champion Genetics bound to get (5) bulls collected today!

Champion Genetics is the leading reproductive facility in the country if you ask me, and especially when it comes to handling and collecting bucking bulls!

Phoenix, Burn The House Down, Fat Lip, Red Wing

2023 was a year to remember with those on the truck! I learned a lot about winning, even more about losing, and am thankful the places that group of animals took me.

Knowing when to cut ties with a calf can be difficult to navigate. You tend to second guess yourself. Maybe he’ll make it one day.

You have to decide what kind of calf you are looking for and draw the line on those that don’t fit that criteria.

This one didn’t make the cut.

Single bulls ultimately cause problems over time!
