Zoombezi Bay Zoombezi Bay, a 22.7 acre water park operated by the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, is a summer destination designed for all age groups.

The park’s attractions include the newly renovated SoundSurfer, the first waterslide in the country to incorporate light and audio effects, and Baboon Lagoon, an imaginative, multi-level play structure with a 1,000-gallon bucket dump. During the 2025 season, Zoombezi Bay made quite the splash with the launch of our newest attraction – Conservation Tower!

With three groundbreaking slides – The Hive, Mussel Mayhem, and Captina Falls – this attraction became the first of its kind in the world and debuted right here in Columbus, Ohio. Not only did this exciting attraction win over this summer’s visitors, but it also won a Golden Ticket Award from Amusement Today! In the Best New Water Park Ride of 2025 category, The Hive took 5th place among all new water park rides in the world.

This exciting accomplishment recognizes both our teams here at Zoombezi Bay, as well as the creators of The Hive at ProSlide Technology, Inc. Join us in celebrating this exciting achievement!

Important Update for Oktoberfest at Zoombezi Bay:

Due to forecasted cooler temperatures on Sunday, September 7, 2025, we have elected to close the waterpark instead of holding our previously-scheduled activities. However, Oktoberfest will still take place as planned on Saturday, September 6, which will also be the final day of our 2025 season.

We know many of you have planned to join us this weekend, and we appreciate your understanding as we make this adjustment to ensure the best possible guest experience!

Attention Zoombezi Bay adults! You have been anxiously awaiting our fourth and final Waterpark After Dark event, occurring tomorrow, Friday, August 29, 2025. We have been watching the weather forecast just like you, and the event will STILL be happening tomorrow from 8:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.!

Our pool water is heated, every attendee receives two drinks tickets, there are DJs at the Wild Tides wave pool and Croctail Creek, and the park atmosphere is unmatched by any other event!

We do realize the air will be cooler than expected. If you are a current ticket holder for tomorrow's SOLD OUT Waterpark After Dark and attend the event, we will provide you with one complimentary ticket to return to Zoombezi Bay on any of our remaining 2025 operating days – August 30 and 31 and September 1, 6, and 7.

Our Guest Relations team will provide one complimentary ticket to any guest that has scanned their Waterpark After Dark ticket. This offer is valid only if you attend Waterpark After Dark on August 29.

REMINDER: Tonight from 5-9pm, Zoombezi Bay offers Quiet After Hours!

This event is ideal for guests to enjoy the attractions of our waterpark during a less stimulating time, without the added background sounds (such as music throughout the park) that can be challenging for sensory needs.

Tickets are available for $15.99 for general guests and free to Season Pass and Gold Member holders. Visit https://www.zoombezibay.com/events/quiet-after-hours for more information and to purchase your tickets. Tickets will additionally be available for purchase at the gate.
