Thanks to the city of Poway . Looks that they have taken away another tradition from the Apache Canyon Gang . The city has said no more train robberies in old Poway park just as the posse did in the late 60s . I got in to do this because of the posse and it was history to the park and of Colonel Porter dream of having the park turned into like calico or Knotsberry farm .With stunt shows and train robberies. Porter would run his train now owned by the city would run it on the fourth on July and Pow Wow days . In the 1960 up 1977.

Time seems to be slowing down for those of us waiting for Disneyland to reopen. The hopeful July reopening was pushed back and then, even as other businesses began reopening again in limited capacity, Disneyland

I would like to invite you to our living history groups the , Apache Canyon Gang , Shadow River Regulators present the annual Rendezvous at Old Poway Park. History comes to life as you walk back in time to the 1820-1890’s Saturday, October 6th from 10:00am-4:00pm and Sunday, October 7th from 11:00am-2:00pm.

Interact with period correct historical encampments and meet Mountain Men, Cowboys, Pioneers, and much more. Experience stunt show and mock train robberies. Pan for gold along the banks of Rattlesnake Creek and ride the speeder for nominal fees. Walk through the Boardwalk Craft Market and see beautiful hand crafted arts (held only Saturday, October 6th). Visit the Nelson House and the Heritage Museum, as well!

Self-guided school tours are available on Thursday, October 4th and Friday, October 5th and can be arranged by calling (858) 668-4576
