Well, I was making good progress: posting, creating, staying focused. Then I decided to check my Etsy account settings and realized that one the payment accounts was my previous Relay account that closed when they separated from their previous partner. Then came the real challenge when I tried to update it. You can't update the account without the full account number. Nothing on Relay or on my statements showed then entire account number. I called Relay, and although the person I talked to tried to get the account number, they did not have access to that information. They said they would escalate it to someone who could help, but I had little hope I would hear from anyone.
Mean while I called Etsy to confirm what I already suspected and feared; if I couldn't get my account number, then I would have to close my current Etsy shop and open a new one. I put my Etsy shop in vacation mode, worked on my writing and a few projects to keep things going. I decided to just give it time and create for the simple pleasure of being creative.
A couple weeks later, just when I was resigned to what needed to be done, I got an email from Jin at Relay. They were working on my request, and giving me updates even when it was just to let me know that Relay was still working on it. Relay and Jin came through and I was able to get my account number and make my Etsy account live again. Here are just a few things I was creating while waiting :)

I brought my mom the little project I was working on. Her name is Robin and has a Robin (the bird) collection going on. She found the little bird wood blanks and asked if I would paint one of them as a Robin. Here is what I ended up doing:

It seems we may be gifted multiple rainbows this fall. This one was from Friday afternoon. It's another double rainbow. We have had triple rainbows appear before, and it was amazing: maybe we will get another before winter comes. Some day I will have to write a short story about rainbows. For now I will continue to work on adding inventory to my Etsy shop and continue to work on my writing. I also am almost done with a little project for my mother. Little canvases is what I am going to be really focusing on for a while. I like it, and my work area doesn't allow for large projects. These wood tags were a fun project to do. They were not fun to photograph. some of the paint is iridescent/glittery/sparkly and just doesn't photograph well. These little paintings are so much better in person.
