It has taken me quite a few hours to process what in the world is going on! This afternoon my son had to work so I with my Warden (friend/caregiver) and my husband and I went out to do the nightly bird chores. After taking care of the chickens and goats I made my way to the Call Duck run. I immediately hit the ground! Between my adult Calls and babies (some of them have only been put with the big kids for a week) I had 26 birds. This afternoon there are 8 birds total in my run! No feathers and no bodies! I made MANY trips around the run looking for any space or hole that they could have gotten out from and nothing! Both of the doors were closed and latched! I am absolutely devastated! The only possibility that I can wrap my head around is that someone had to have taken them! They would have to know where the electric net fence is plugged in and how to open it. My babies are all behind the house so they would have to get past the vehicles, past the dogs that bark their heads off and threw that monster of a fence! I am at a complete loss! I pray that my babies are safe wherever they may be! If anyone happens to see any of them on Market place or in local groups please contact me IMMEDIATELY!
