The first image below is a digital fine art piece called “Soft Landing” created in 3D (Cinema 4D) and touched up in Photoshop. I’ve done a lot of this kind of work in the visual effects biz and decided way back in 2008 to experiment using those methods for fine art.
The first exploration was “Milltown Morning,” recreating Port Blakely on Bainbridge Island, near Seattle. (You can see all of these at www.crabbfineart.com)
I’ve been using those techniques to create art (along with oil paintings) ever since.
Soft Landing was inspired by my memory of my Grandad Denney's house in Altamont, IL, which I last saw when I was eight. As you can see in the image, there are framed photographs on the wall, including three of my family photos.
HERE'S THE FUN PART! If you have similar memories and like this piece of art, I can customize it by adding your family photos. You would then have a unique piece of art featuring your family!
And even more fun, you can do that with the fine art piece called “Coffee Time” as well.
If you are interested in that, contact me at [email protected], and I can give you a quote.
