Hey Slover Family Lights friends and family!

A lot of you have asked over the years about how the light show works, how the automation is set up, and how different smart home devices can work together.

I’ve always enjoyed building this stuff — from automated lights and custom controls to Home Assistant, Zigbee, Matter, Alexa, sensors, energy monitoring, and all the little automations that make a house run smoother.

So I’m testing the waters on something new:

I started a local Nextdoor page for The Automation Guy, where I’ll be helping Poulsbo and Kitsap neighbors set up, fix, and simplify their smart home systems.

This could be anything from getting smart lights and switches working, cleaning up too many apps, fixing broken automations, setting up Home Assistant, or just helping someone figure out where to start.

No hard sell. Just local, practical smart home help from someone who genuinely enjoys this stuff.

That’s a wrap on this season. And wow—this was by far our busiest year yet.
Together, the Christmas show raised $1,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Thank you to everyone who came out, donated, shared the show, and supported the cause. Your generosity truly makes a difference for children and families during the holidays.
Thank you also for your patience during busy nights and for being respectful and kind to our neighbors. That meant a lot to us.
We’re incredibly grateful for this community.

We’re so excited to officially announce that Sunday, December 7th is the opening night for our 2025 Christmas Synchronized Light Show. Help us spread the word by sharing this post! 🎄✨

We’ve poured hundreds of hours into this year’s show show, and we can’t wait to share the magic with all of you again. ❤️

Here are all the details and reminders:

📍 Address: 1641 NW Nassau CT Poulsbo WW
⏰ Hours: Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun from 5:00 to 10 pm through New Years
📻 Radio: Tune to 101.9

🎬 The show runs on a continuous loop every night, so come whenever it works for you and stay as long or as little as you’d like.
🎁 The show is completely free, so come and enjoy.
🚗 Please avoid blocking our neighbors’ driveways.
💡 Turn off your headlights once you’re in a viewing spot.
➡️ Pull forward when space opens up to help keep cars moving smoothly.
