Are you interested in technical theater? Do you want to be part of a student-led production space? Are you excited to learn new skills? Join our team! The members of Shiva Staff work together to manage and maintain the Shiva Theater, hosting a wide variety of events and productions throughout each semester. Throughout their time on staff, members learn new skills in technical theater and management from their co-workers - and to put them into practice. Proof of vaccination or a negative test required for off campus visitors. Students will be required to show their vcard.

This year the Susan Stein Shiva Theater is 20 years old! In 1998 the old Coal Bin Theater was renamed The Shiva! To celebrate the last 20 years we are asking for photo contributions! We want to showcase your time in the Shiva. Send us photos of your shows, events, the posters, the laughs, the fun quirky moments of your time in the Shiva. We’ve come a long way from the coal days – now, the Shiva is a unique space for Vassar College students to learn and perform with the help of trained staff and professional-grade technical resources. Please help us celebrate this amazing student theater space!
