A lot of people asked me why some carousel horses don't go up and down. Some people think that it's an accessibility thing or for kids that are too scared to go up and down, or that some horses are too heavy. All good guesses, but not correct!

To The Brass Ring Grabbers, would you ride the Flying Jenny or the Stationary Carousel?

Happy 4th of July! The American Carousel is a fascinating and beautiful thing that we as Americans should be proud of! (I'm biased obviously!)
and while I still do love European and Mexican Carousels, I learned all about American Carousel History first, so again, I'm biased.

These guys are some of the cutest fellows on the carousel. I adore them. Probably one of the most whimsical figures in all of carousel history tbh... buuuuut the sea dragon will always be my number one!
