Opera On Tap Potsdam Opera for the people! The goal is to present themed, informal evenings of excellent music in an intimate, casual, and relaxed environment.

Opera on Tap is a non-profit organization, founded in New York, with the goal of creating performance opportunities for emerging classical musicians formatted in the vein of a rock or jazz gig.

We have a brass quintet playing while people are being seated and taking their orders and then 8 wonderful singers with a brilliant accompanist!

An Evening In Italy: AUDITIONS!!!

On Sunday February 9th from 12pm-2pm in Crane, Opera On Tap Potsdam will be holding auditions for any singers in the Potsdam area who wish to participate in our event at Mama Lucias on March 2nd, entitled "An Evening In Italy." We are looking for approximately 10 singers to perform Italian art songs and arias while the audience is eating their dinner. There will be two performances that evening. One at 4pm and one at 6pm.

Please prepare one, PERFORMANCE READY, Italian art song or aria, which, if selected, will be your solo for the performance on March 2nd. Please also have a list ready of any Italian duets, trios, or quartets that you would be willing to perform. An accompanist will be provided and there will be a short information sheet to fill out when you arrive.

This is NOT limited to Crane students. If you know of any singers who wish to pursue performing classical music please share this with them. If you have any questions please email [email protected]
