•We are excited to be reopening tomorrow (Monday) from 1-8! (On a personal note, I’ve had a wonderful vacation week in Nova Scotia. Thanks for your patience while the studio was closed.) Additional ‘Open Studio’ hours this week are Tuesday 1-6, Wednesday 1-8, Thursday 1-6, Friday 1-9 (with our ‘First Friday’ potluck happening from 4:30-6), Saturday 11-3, and Sunday 11-5. Looking forward, we will be closing early on Monday evening, June 8th at 6 pm (instead of 8 pm) for a private event. Details about ‘Open Studio’ and ‘Instructional Open Studio’ in previous posts or on a featured/ pinned posts.

•We have several seats left in the 3 week PITCHER CLASS that starts Thursday . This is a great way to resume or continue your pottery journey. If you’ve taken a class before, you have enough experience to take this one!

•Newly advertised MONSTER AND DRAGON class happening on 6/20. Grab your Dad or a friend and sign up! See previous posts for details!

•Drop in and Paint Your Own Pottery (PYOP) during any Open Studio time. Plenty of mugs, vases, tiles, trinket boxes, spoon rests, and small plates to glaze paint. Other figurines available to paint as well. No experience needed. Prices range from $10-$30 and include all costs (piece, glazing, studio time, and firing fees).

•No experience and no time for a weekly class? That’s ok! Come in to an ‘Instructional Open Studio’ (Tuesday/ Thursdays 1-4:30, Fridays 6-9, or Mondays 4:30-8) and for $20/ hr we will walk you through the basics of wheel throwing or hand building. Clay and firing costs are additional.

Have you taken a pottery class before? This is a great way to get yourself back into the studio!
Join our new 3-Week ‘Melon’ Pitcher Class w/ Jan DeWaters!
Thursdays, 6:00-8:30 pm, June 4, 11, 18
Create an interesting, fun vessel by joining forms together, then adding a handle and spout – you’re only limited by your imagination! Some pottery wheel experience required and students should be comfortable centering 2 pounds of clay.
Cost: $150, includes up to 10 pounds of clay , glaze, and firing fees plus 3 weeks ‘Open Studio’ time from June 4-25. Instructor: Jan DeWaters
Week 1: Sketch design, throw components (base, neck, spout, attachments)
Week 2: Join forms, trim
Week 3: Handles, finishing touches, surface decoration
Students are also welcome to sign up for an additional glaze workshop ($40) on July 2nd to glaze their pitchers.

Join our new 3-Week ‘Melon’ Pitcher Class!
Thursdays, 6:00-8:30 pm, June 4, 11, 18
Create an interesting, fun vessel by joining forms together, then adding a handle and spout – you’re only limited by your imagination! Some pottery wheel experience required and students should be comfortable centering 2 pounds of clay.
