This banner is beautiful and it tells exactly why our Kinship Communities are TREASURES. Quince Orchard’s story is rooted in faith, education, family, resilience, and a legacy that generations worked hard to build and protect.

Now it’s our turn to show up for these communities and make sure their stories continue to be seen, heard, and preserved. Join us September 18th & 19th as we celebrate the history and TREASURES within our Kinship Communities.

Thank you to Friends of Moses Hall for supporting the Scotland Juneteenth Heritage Festival.
Friends of Moses Hall was founded in 2020 to protect the historic Morningstar Tabernacle No. 88 Moses Cemetery and Hall from destruction due to Maryland’s I-495 expansion. Now a nonprofit, the organization is dedicated to preserving this significant African American burial site through restoration, research, community engagement, and education. Their mission highlights the legacy of African American benevolent societies and raises awareness of racial injustices tied to infrastructure projects.
