“Noah...If You Build It They Will Come” opens THIS Saturday, March 5th!

Imagine that God suddenly told you that you were supposed to build a massive boat, and that the rest of humanity was going to perish in a great flood, leaving only you and your family to repopulate the planet. And not only that, but two of every living creature on earth would be in the boat with you, and you would have to survive together until the water subsided.

That’s actually what happened to Noah when he was over five hundred years old. What’s more, he had only three sons to help him build the ark. His sons were dutiful, and respectful of Noah, but God wasn’t talking to them. They had to take the word of their elderly father that this was truly what God had called them to do, while everyone they knew believed Noah had surely lost his mind.

In a comical perspective on the very human side of Noah’s story, his one unmarried son, Shem, finds himself at the mercy of his mischievous brother, Ham, who is in league with their devious uncle. Together they try to help the inexperienced Shem find a suitable wife, much to his confusion and dismay.

There are poignant moments woven into this very funny story. Noah wrestles with the thought of his brother, as flawed as he may be, and his venerated grandfather, Methuselah, and so many others being left behind to drown in the flood. In the end, Noah offers a sobering, yet stirring and hopeful parallel to the times we are living in today, which puts the world and all its challenges in perspective.

“Noah…If You Build It They Will Come” is directed by Glenn Polk, who appears as Noah, along with well-known actor and long time television presence throughout the region, Kurt Kiser, who plays the part of Noah’s fun loving, but rather unscrupulous brother, Tobar. Michael Williams, Mikey Gonzales, and Nathan Graves are Noah’s sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Nancy Thuett appears as Noah’s wife, Amira, and Christy Morris offers an unforgettable performance as the determined Hagassah, one of Shem’s prospective brides, who competes with the stunning Mehetabel for his affections. Judy Burk and Tammy Caddell are the wives of Ham and Japheth. Others in the cast include Travis Deubler, Tracy Polk, David Burk, and Jason Polk.

Performances are Saturdays at 3:00 though April 23rd. Visit RAGTOWN.COM, or call 877-RAGTOWN (877-724-8696) for information and tickets.

All tickets are reserved seating. Admission is $22 for adults, $10 for students, and FREE to all veterans and active duty military personnel. Discounts are available for groups of twelve or more.

Joseph the Carpenter is coming to Ragtown this holiday season! Your tickets can be purchased at www.ragtown.com or reserved with Robin at 1-877-RAGTOWN!

This sweet story depicts the events leading up to the birth of Christ, focused on the man whom God the Father chose to be the example of honorable manhood for His Son. Joseph’s touching humility, and the sense of his worth as a man are clearly revealed in this charming and moving story.

Joseph the Carpenter is a dramatic love story of supernatural proportions. Joseph faces what his family believes is the unforgivable infidelity of his betrothed. His protective elder brother, Cleopus, accuses Mary of unfaithfulness, and is convinced that she is a liar who is playing Joseph for a fool with her story of an angel, and the child she carries being placed in her womb by God.

Mary sees all hope for happiness vanish, and yet her faith in what she knows to be true will not be diminished. Her bravery in the face of the heinous accusation proves this splendid woman worthy of God’s trust.

This is a beautiful story of the reality of two people, young and vulnerable, which nevertheless choose faith, and stand firm and unshaken in that faith, and in their love.

Ragtown the Musical — Saturday at 3:00!

In 1907, C.W. Post started the town its settlers fondly called Ragtown. One hundred years later, in 2007, just a stone's throw away from that original settlement, we started Ragtown Gospel Theater, which our patrons also fondly call Ragtown. Now we're proud to present Ragtown the Musical. The whole family is sure to enjoy this show, filled to the brim with music, love, and laughter. Join us as we boldly celebrate American self-reliance, realized through faithful dependence on Jesus.

Almost 20 years ago, Chip Polk sent his original piano music for “Ragtown!” to his good friend, Andy Patterson. Andy took the piano songs and turned them into full orchestral arrangements, which you can now hear during “Ragtown! The Musical”!

Andy was able to come see the show a couple of weeks ago, and it was such a special moment for Chip…to see the final work alongside his longtime friend and collaborator.

The music alone is worth the trip to see “Ragtown!” We’ll present the musical every Saturday at 3:00 through the end of August, and you won’t want to miss it! Tickets are available at our website, www.ragtown.com, or you can reserve your seat with Robin at 1-877-RAGTOWN!

This is a family-friendly show, so bring the whole family out for a Saturday afternoon together! Groups of 12 or more receive discounted tickets, we offer discounted student tickets, and — as always — veterans are invited to enjoy our shows free of charge. 🇺🇸

Wow! Last Saturday, March 2 was the first time to be at the Ragtown Gospel Theater. Wow is the best I can come up with. It was fabulous. I've wanted to come for a long time and never did (I guess because I live in Southeastern New Mexico. The play was so wonderful! I loved Chip and his music. Does he ever just do a concert of music? I'm listening, right now, to one of the CDs I got. I also bought Chip's book but I haven't started it. It's next in line after I finish the book I'm on now. Thank you to all of you for your part in touching my heart. I loved it and look forward to being there again!
I have known about Y'all for many years and finally got a chance to see your show Saturday. I was blown away. The singing was amazing, and the story of King David was compelling. I saw the story I have read so many times, in a new and interesting way. I never imagined the Holy Spirit pleading with David the way your play showed it. It was amazing. Thank you for all you do. I hope my wife and I will have another chance to visit.
Last Saturday was an amazing day at Ragtown. Next Saturday is looking to be a repeat of it. The audience came away with nothing but positive comments. Come see us!
