Huge congrats to the Trebel Ensemble for their second place finish, the Brass Quintet for their third place finish and the Trombone Quartet for their third place finish at the IMEA state Solo and Ensemble competition this afternoon!

Post Falls own Jordan Hudson and Kaylynn Misner representing at the IMEA All State Conference this weekend. Both were selected for the honor Jazz Band, and after 2 days of intense rehearsal will be performing tonight.

Some photos from the Jazz Band and Troubadors tour of the Elementary and Middle Schools. The kids performed great and it was an awesome time!

Really great showing today by our music students. Concert Choir placed 3rd for mixed choirs, Troubadors placed 1st for Mixed Choirs and Best overall. Women's Select placed 1st as well. For Bands, Concert Band placed 2nd and Wind Ensemble placed 1st and Best Overall Concert Band. Jazz II placed 2nd and Jazz I placed 1st and Best overall Jazz Band. Additionally, our students were recognized for their citizenship, Concert etiquette and overall respectfulness and was awarded the Esprit de Corps trophy.

Great Job by Concert Band and Wind Esnble today at the District 1 Large Group Festival. Both Ensembles gave great performances and earned Superior Ratings!

A great showing by the PFHS Band students today at the region 1 solo and ensemble festival with every participant receiving either an Excellent or Superior rating. A special congrats to Xander Helt (clarinet) Max Smith (Bass Clarinet) Jaedyn Sandford (flute), Morgan Baker (marimba) Caden Calkins (Bari sax, tuba), Tyler McIntyre (Euphonium), Alex Kaschube (tenor sax), Ryan Crabb (drum set), Jordan Hudson (Alto Sax), the PFHS Clarinet Quartet, the PFHS Sax Quartet, the PFHS Brass Quintet and the PFHS Flute Quartet for all qualifying for state.. either placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their respective rooms. Great Job everyone!

What a way to start the school year. The band has sure been kept busy during the first half!

Very proud of these kids this weekend. Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band 1 and Troubadours traveled to Seattle for Music in the Parks, and came away with 3 Superior Ratings, 2 First Place Finishes, a Second Place Finish, Best Overall Concert Band and Best Jazz Soloist… and unofficially, best tour t-shirt. Way to go PFHS Music!
