Heavenly Father,

We thank you for allowing the children to make it through another summer. Thank you for keeping them safe from all hurt, harm, and danger.

Lord, as they enter this new school year, we ask that you continue to cover them and be a shield around them, protecting them from any form of wickedness or evil. Let your light shine so bright within them that it will blind any spirit intended to do them harm or cause them to walk in a way not pleasing to you.

Lord, give them discernment to guard their ear, eye, and mouth gates. Allow distractions not to overpower their focus, and keep their minds stayed on you. Surround them with Godly company that will help them stay on track.

We pray for the child struggling with insecurity, anxiety, fear, and anything else you haven't called us to walk in. Lord, help them be strong and courageous, just as you instructed Joshua.

Lord, we pray for educators, administration, and all staffing and volunteers within the school. Cover them, Lord, and we ask a special covering of their minds. Lord, please don't let them get weary in well-doing; let this school year be the one that draws them closer to you. Let this school year not be something they dread, but something they are expecting. We pray that their needs are met and that they lack nothing financially. Let creative flow from them, give them fresh ideas and strategies to engage students, and ensure that nobody is left behind.

Remind us all, Lord, that we can do all things; that includes big things, small things, easy things, and hard things. Your word says we can do ALL things through Christ who gives us strength. Amen 🙏🏽
