Over the next four weeks, you will see significant changes in the areas impacted by the waterline project. Crews will be closing up holes on Offnere Street and Kinneys Lane and continuing work on Sunrise Avenue.

Offnere Street closures will include all northbound lanes until approximately September 11, with the 1800 block completely closed to traffic. Offnere Street is scheduled for a complete resurfacing later in the month of September.

Kinneys Lane will be open to two way traffic while crews patch the openings through the middle of September. Parking is prohibited on both sides of Kinneys Lane between Offnere Street and Sunrise Avenue until patching is complete to allow work to continue and facilitate two way traffic.

Sunrise Avenue will be closed between Kinneys Lane and 20th Street with parking prohibited on both sides. It is expected to be closed until the end of September.

Mid month, Sunrise Avenue at the intersection of 24th Street is expected to be closed between the intersection with 23rd Street and the intersection of 24th Street at Sunrise Avenue on the Reservoir side. Limited Parking will be allowed between 20th Street and 23rd Street on Sunrise Avenue during work.

During the work on Sunrise Avenue, all traffic to Notre Dame High School should utilize 23rd Street from Waller Street. On street parking will be prohibited on Waller Street north of the intersection with Kinneys Lane. Parking will be prohibited on the north side of 23rd Street between Waller Street and Sunrise Avenue.

Slowly but surely.....Columbia Gas will be working to lay a line across Offnere Street in the next several days. Our officers will be on hand to help traffic continue to use the intersection with Grant Street. More to follow concerning next week’s work on Offnere Street, Kinneys Lane, and Sunrise. Thanks for being so patient as the city continues to upgrade the infrastructure.

Latest road closure information for next week. Beginning next week, crews will be finishing up connection work on Kinneys Lane. Once Kinneys Lane is opened to traffic,crews will begin concrete and asphalt patching on Offnere Street which will result in closure of the northbound lanes.

It is anticipated that work in the 1900 block of Sunrise Avenue will commence late week, resulting in closure between Kinneys Lane and 20th Street as crews prepare to work the full length of Sunrise Avenue.

Traffic entering and exiting Notre Dame High School will be encouraged to use 23rd Street in preparation of the work on both ends of Sunrise Avenue over the coming weeks.

Once Sunrise Avenue is closed, parking restrictions will be implemented on 23rd Street (north side) and Waller Street (all sides north of Kinneys Lane) to allow for free flow of traffic.
