Reserve your seats now for the premiere of "The Infirmary Midden: A Layered History of Ohio's Oldest Mound Site."

This presentation explores the 1986 excavation of the former Scioto County Home site, an important multi-component archaeological treasure, and the race to preserve its history before a proposed construction project damaged it forever.

Hear firsthand accounts from project manager Dave Kuhn and archaeologist JEB Bowen, who participated in the excavation. Through their stories, discover what was uncovered, why it mattered, and how the findings deepened our understanding of Ohio's prehistoric past. Photos and original documents from the excavation bring this remarkable story to life.

A panel will follow the presentation with Dave Kuhn, JEB Bowen, and members of our production team from the Southern Ohio Museum, the Shawnee State Center for Public History, and the Ohio History Service Corps.

This biennial regional exhibition features area artists, in celebration of the creativity of our region!

With special guest appearance by Cirque D'Art Theatre!
Prize winners will be announced during the awards ceremony.
