Portola Valley Theatre Conservatory Theatre enriches a community by offering different points of view, provoking dialogue and bringing art and passion to the stage.

At PVTC, we believe that theatre does remarkable things for each individual child. Children are inherently wired with all the tolls they need to act, to feel confident on stage, to create stories and to unlock their unique imagination and passion. Children, with the guidance and support in the theatre arts, will grow to be confident, engages and passionate learners.

We’re counting down the days to As You Like It: just 13 days until our preview performance. And just look at how beautifully our set is coming together! Tickets are going fast, especially for our weekend matinees, so if you haven’t purchased yours, now’s the time. Performances will sell out. See our link in bio to purchase.

It’s important to us that our shows are financially accessible to everyone in our community. That’s why our tickets are priced on a sliding scale with a $15 reduced-price option available for every show, except opening night! If this still presents a barrier to you, email [email protected] and we’ll find a price that works.

Friday, March 13th is opening night — we’ll end the show with a champagne toast for actors and audience members. Tickets for this performance are the only ones not priced on a sliding scale. Each ticket is $100 and goes towards supporting PVTC.

Saturday, March 15th is our accessible show — this show is both sensory friendly (we make accommodations for people who might not be able to sit quietly/ still through a 90-minute show or enjoy surprises/ bright flashing lights) and ASL-interpreted. This show might be particularly great for elderly folks, people with young children, people with disabilities, and members of the Deaf community. That said, you do not have to belong to one of those communities to attend on this date.

Thursday, March 19th is our benefit show — we’re donating a percentage of ticket sales to the International Rescue Committee (IRC), an NGO dedicated to responding to global humanitarian crises. A representative from the IRC will also speak about their work before the show. This is an opportunity to support newcomers in our community and refugees around the globe.

Named one of The New York Times’ Best Shows of 2017, As You Like It is an immersive dream-like tale of faithful friends, feuding families and lovers in disguise.

Forced from their homes, Orlando, Duke Senior, his daughter Rosalind and niece Celia escape to the Forest of Arden, a fantastical place of transformation, where all are welcomed and embraced. Lost amidst the trees, the refugees find community and acceptance under the stars.

Featuring an original folk-pop score by Shaina Taub, with a 90-minute running time, As You Like It is appropriate for all audiences. Fall under love’s spell with this magical story!

The block party is about to take a dark turn…You’re invited to an adults-only evening where the music is loud, the cocktails are flowing… and someone won’t make it to dessert. Join us for Betrayal at the Block Party, a Murder Mystery Fundraiser packed with secrets, twists, suspicious alliances, and a cast of characters who all have something to hide.

We cannot thank them enough for sharing their passion, athleticism, improv skills, and culture with us.
