Congratulations to Chris Thile on being named Ojai Music Festival’s Music Director for 2027!

The Grammy Award-winning mandolinist, singer, songwriter, composer, and MacArthur Fellow will be making his first Ojai Festival appearance, which will also signal the beginning of Artistic and Executive Director Designate Teddy Abrams’s tenure.

We’re so looking forward to welcoming Chris back to CMNW for his solo concert, An Evening with Chris Thile: Master of the Mandolin, on July 10. (And it’s sure to sell out, so get your tickets while you can at cmnw.org!)

Tomorrow we’ll be featured on All Classical Radio's Played in Oregon with host Brandi Parisi! Tune in to hear clarinetist Jörg Widmann, bassoonist Carin Miller, hornist Radovan Vlatković, Soovin Kim, violinist, violist Jordan Bak, cellist Paul Watkins, and bassist Braizahn Jones play Beethoven's Septet in E-flat Major, Op. 20. This performance was recorded at Kaul Auditorium as part of our 2024 Summer Festival.

Our friends at Resonance Ensemble have their season finale coming up!

Historic protest songs meet contemporary choral works in this collaboration between Resonance Ensemble and A Thousand Tongues. Featuring music from the landmark 1973 album A Grain of Sand alongside new works by Asian diasporic composers, the program reflects on Asian American identity, memory, and community across generations.
