Blind Insect's gallery feature over fifty artists from local Portlanders, to multicultural artists. We pride ourselves on giving artists a platform to exhibit their work while also providing artwork at affordable price points to encourage art collecting at any age and stage of life. Collecting and living with original artwork and high-quality reproductions should be within everyone's grasp and we are doing our part to make that happen.

✨ Last Thursday Magic at Alberta Arts District

Yesterday’s Last Thursday was packed, and what a night it was! ❤️🎨 The gallery was full of familiar faces, artists, friends, collectors, and so many happy buyers celebrating art and community with us.

Maybe it was the lunar eclipse 🌕✨, or maybe it was simply that special Alberta Arts District magic. From gallery openings and live music on every corner to local artists, makers, and neighbors filling the streets, the energy was impossible to miss.

There’s something truly special about Last Thursday—the way people come together, discover new art, support local creatives, and simply enjoy being part of this community.

And at Blind Insect Gallery, we were thrilled to celebrate the opening of Pacific Northwest Perspectives by Kaline Carter. 🎨

We’re excited to welcome Oleada to the opening celebration of Kaline Carter’s Pacific Northwest Perspectives!

Formed in 2017 by Brendan Deiz (Doombia, Cilantro), Oleada brings together an eclectic mix of psychedelic cumbia, dub reggae, salsa, jazz fusion, and surf rock—all filtered through their own unmistakable sound.

Come experience the art, the music, and the energy as we celebrate a new exhibition inspired by the architecture and character of the Pacific Northwest.

PACIFIC NORTHWEST PERSPECTIVES celebrates the architecture, neighborhoods, and visual character of the region we call home. Through bold geometry, vibrant color, patterns, and texture, Kaline transforms familiar buildings and everyday architectural details into dynamic compositions that move between representation and abstraction.

From recognizable structures to the quiet details we often overlook, his work invites us to slow down and see the Pacific Northwest through a different lens—exploring the relationship between place, memory, structure, and identity.

We’re excited to welcome you to Blind Insect Gallery’s fifth exhibition of 2026, featuring the vibrant work of Kaline Carter.

Kaline’s paintings invite us to look again at the places we pass every day. Through bold geometry, vibrant color, and playful patterns, familiar buildings and landscapes become something entirely new.

Following his stunning Space Needle painting presented at the Seattle Art Fair, Kaline now turns his attention to Portland—from the iconic Big Pink to neighborhood architecture and the familiar houses that give our city its character.
