Last night was our first group art show! By "our," I mean the Fort Vancouver Regional Tattoo Mutual Aid Society. This is a wonderful group of tattooers that meet once a month. We thought it was going to be 3 or four meetings, but now it's almost one year of monthly gatherings at TATTOO PEACE ! I'm very happy about that.

I am not fast on the phone camera, so I did not take many pictures.
Ngl, it's somewhat intimidating to be surrounded by so much talent, experience, and wisdom. That, however, is on me. It's all about pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone. This is how we grow.
Much gratitude to all involved. Thank you for accepting my awkwardness, stutter, and meowing.

This was a tattoo I made over 13 years ago . The client decided it was time to update the tattoo. It can be hard to separate the art from the artist, but we claim what is ours - the memories and inspiration we get from the art.

I can not express how my disdain for social media has grown, especially in the last two years. So! I need to change how I do things. First, I want to get back to physical portfolios. It seems like people now could really give two f***s about physical pictures, but I know my colleagues and contemporaries do. I must be the change I want to see.
It's lonely being in a private studio. My ADHD brain yells at me all the time and I get very little done. This was good and cathartic. A nice trip down memory lane. I remember 99% of these tattoos and the people that got them. I culled a few ancient ones, but mostly because of Personal Feelings. I did keep a couple that I'm proud of, yet I have no desire to see those people ever again. But I digress...
Come visit me in and let's trade stories. I just turned 50, and it's messing with me a bit.
Funny, someone asked me for "words of wisdom." I have none. I almost dies three years ago. Ever since then, things don't matter in the same way anymore.
