Quinn Mason is our Assistant Conductor for this year's Mahlerfest, and we are also playing one of his orchestral pieces, "She Dreams of Flying" (2023). Here he is conducting the orchestra in a rehearsal of Mahler's "Blumine" movement.

Here are some photos of Mahlerfest 2026 rehearsals. We are excited for our upcoming concert - Saturday, July 18 at 7:30pm at Rex Putnam High School in Milwaukie, OR.

The program will be:
Wagner - Overture to "The Flying Dutchman"
Mahler - "Blumine" movement, conducted by our Assistant Conductor Quinn Mason
Quinn Mason - "She Dreams of Flying" (2023)
and
Mahler's Symphony No. 1 "Titan"

The Oregon Mahler Festival is coming again in July 2026. This summer we will perform on Saturday, July 18 at 7:30pm at a new venue - Rex Putnam High School in Milwaukie, Oregon. The concert will be conducted by our Music Director Mark Perlman.

The program will be:
Wagner - Overture to "The Flying Dutchman"
Mahler - "Blumine" movement from early version of Symphony No. 1, conducted by our Assistant Conductor Quinn Mason
Quinn Mason - "She Dreams of Flying" (2023)
and
Mahler's Symphony No. 1 "Titan"

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUSTAV!
One hundred and sixty-six years ago today, the great Gustav Mahler drew his first breath and it took nearly 100 years for his music to find widespread acceptance and take its its place in the canon of symphonic repertoire.
The Oregon Mahler Festival Orchestra will perform Mahler's Symphony No. 1, the "Titan", on Saturday July 18 at 7:30pm at Rex Putnam High School in Milwaukie, OR.
