Look at that sea of singers. 🎄🎶

This season the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus is bigger than it has ever been, with 170 singers slated to take the stage for Cool Yule. That is a lot of harmony, a lot of swing, and a whole lot of holiday spirit.

A swing-era holiday party for everyone, with Kay Thompson’s delightfully unhinged “Jingle Bells” and a velvet-smooth “White Christmas.” Naughty or nice, you are invited.

📅 December 11, 12 and 13, 2026

We are nothing without you. 💜

To everyone who has donated this season, attended a fundraiser, bought tickets, shared a post, or simply shown up for this organization in any way: thank you.

PGMC exists because of the people in this community. Not the venues, not the spotlights. You. The donors who give monthly so we can plan with confidence. The audiences who fill the room and make every rehearsal worth it. The people who have been here for one season and the ones who have been here for forty.

We do not take a single one of you for granted.

The holidays are coming and we are READY. 🎄🎶✨

Cool Yule hits the Newmark Theatre on December 11 and we cannot wait for you to hear what is building in the rehearsal room right now. Swing-era holiday classics. 170+ voices swinging like the season depends on it. A beautiful room, dressed-up company, and the kind of night that kicks off the holidays the right way.

This is not your average holiday concert. This is PGMC doing what PGMC does, and it is going to be something special.

We are 20% sold and aiming for a sold-out Thanksgiving. The more the merrier. Bring your people.

This is who we are when we are not on stage. 💜

Earlier this week, PGMC members Vince Wucherer, Jim Fotter, Charlie Holmes, Daryl Blanksma, and Christopher Otero volunteered at Blanchet House in Portland, serving dinner to people experiencing hunger and homelessness in our city.

This chorus has always believed that showing up for community does not stop when the curtain comes down. Music is how we serve from the stage. This is how we serve everywhere else.

We are so proud of these five and grateful for the work Blanchet House does every single day. If you want to learn more or get involved yourself, visit blanchethouse.org.
