We are thrilled to welcome two extraordinary performers to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall stage this Pride season.

Jay'Quan Lewis-Price is a Jefferson High School dancer known for his electric stage presence and deep love for the art form. From Portland to national stages in New York and Pittsburgh, Jay'Quan brings heart, power, and joy to everything he does.

Piper Bott is a Jefferson senior with ten years of training across ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, aerial arts, and more. A four-year member of the Jefferson Dancers, Piper has performed on stages across Portland and beyond.

Two incredible artists. One unforgettable night.

46 years ago, 20 singers placed an ad in a local newspaper and changed Portland forever. 🎶💜

Through the AIDS crisis, across five decades, and onto stages from Portland to China- the Portland Gay Men's Chorus has been here. Lifting voices. Building community. Showing up when it mattered most.

We are just hearing about this: LGBTQ+ stories are being targeted by the government... again. The TV Oversight Management Board (TVOMB)... the what?!... is seeking public comment about putting warnings regarding transgender and non-binary characters and themes on television shows. "Applying warning labels to programs with transgender and nonbinary characters and stories incorrectly equates them to programming with coarse and crude language, sexual situations, or violence." Here's a link that accesses the actual comment form. Unfortunately, the deadline for public comment is today.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is targeting LGBTQ stories. They are trying to control what you see on television. This government overreach is dangerous...

Our Artistic Director and Conductor, Dr. Braeden Ayres, has spent years giving voice to this chorus, and this month, he's stepping into the spotlight to share his own story.
Here I Am is an intimate one-night cabaret experience woven from the songs that have shaped Braeden's life. Moments of joy, struggle, identity, and triumph, told through music with warmth, humor, and complete authenticity.

It's rare. It's personal. And it's exactly the kind of evening that reminds us why music matters.
