As State Fair season is almost upon us, I thought it would be fun to load up my booth with vintage Chalkware. In the 1940s and 50s, these were commonly given as carnival prizes. I love the colors on these and many still have glitter—amazing for their age. On the lower shelf, you’ll see some adorable Chalkware string holders—they would be hung on the wall with string coming out of the mouth. Before tape and ziplock bags, string was often used to hold packaging together and this was a charming solution for keeping string handy. I’ve also added some little bags of autumnal crafting things like brown spun cotton mushrooms, clean acorn caps, and small woodland creatures. Finally, I’ve put together a few test tube vase kits—vintage rustic wooden test tube holders packaged with of test tubes. Pics to come. Stop by West St Paul Antiques! I added another set of shelves so I can carry even more vintage goodness! Stop by my booth (Haven Vintage) at West St Paul Antiques on the corner of Annapolis and Smith in West St Paul, Minnesota. I carry a LOT of vintage crafting supplies, jewelry, findings, ephemera, pottery, linens and kitchenware. Stop by Wednesday-Sunday, 10-5. 🌼🌼🌼

I reloaded my shelves with LOTS of new stuff, including tons of vintage jewelrymaking bits and beads and a ton of vintage ephemera—including some gorgeous vintage French postcards I picked up at the Paris flea market a few years ago. Just across the street from delicious 𝗔𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗪𝗦𝗣 on the corner of Annapolis and Smith.

Pelicans on White Bear Lake tonight. Loons were calling, songbirds trilling, and an ever-so-slight haze of green on some of the trees mean spring is here. (So what if there’s snow in the forecast Saturday?😫) Trying to enjoy every little bit! 🌿🌱🌼
