✨💕 Recital 2026 – “Let Them Praise His Name with Dancing” 💕✨
My heart is overflowing with pride after our 2026 annual dance recital, “Let Them Praise His Name with Dancing.” I think this years theme is my favorite that I’ve ever had! The songs and backdrops were stunning! 💖 What an incredible day it was watching each and every one of our students step onto that stage and shine so brightly! ✨
Let me start by saying how sorry I am about the delay in starting the show. We had a student leave their costume at home and their Dad had to run back to Portland to get it. They were in one of the first few dances. 😅 Hey, we are a dance family and thankfully, I knew you would understand!
Parents, Dance is so much more than learning steps and routines. It teaches children confidence, discipline, dedication, teamwork, and perseverance. It helps them learn to work hard toward a goal, overcome challenges, and believe in themselves. Through dance, they discover that they are capable of accomplishing things they never thought possible. You are affording your child so much more than an after school activity. 😉
One of my favorite things to watch is how a shy little dancer grows into a confident young lady. I saw it many times this year!!! The confidence they gain in the dance studio doesn’t stay on the stage….it follows them throughout their lives. Dance teaches grace, responsibility, respect, and the importance of encouraging others along the way. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen these girls encouraging one another backstage. I’ve had the privilege to witness them hug, hold hands, console, encourage, pray, and help each other. A few instances this year….I had a student realize she didn’t have the jacket to her costume right before the show and another student offered SEVERAL times to take her jacket off to match her so that she wasn’t the only one on stage without the jacket. We had a student throwing up at rehearsal and her classmates were on top of it helping her! We had a grumpy little prince show up to class this last week bc he was awakened from a nap. He was crying while doing his dance. After class, the girls were gathered around him trying to console him. A few minutes later, I witness one of those sweet girls, patting him on the back while speaking to him privately. They looked like little adults. 🥺 My heart!
This year, I watched these girls perform with more joy and confidence than ever before! They truly lit up that stage and made it their own! Seeing their hard work pay off and watching them believe in themselves is one of the greatest blessings of being a dance teacher. I love watching their excitement!!!
To all of our sweet students, thank you for your dedication and hard work. I am beyond proud of each one of you. Girls and Shepherd (our little prince), you made this year’s recital special, and you should be so proud of yourselves.
Thank you to all of the parents and families for your support throughout the year. Your encouragement and commitment help make these moments possible. 🙌🏼🥰
Congratulations to all of my dancers! You were absolutely amazing yesterday and I could not be more proud. ❤️ Keep dancing and sharing your talent!
Moms, if you got a great picture backstage (especially group pic) please send to me for the video wall next year. I didn’t get the first picture. Ugh! 😩
Text me this week to sign up for summer classes. It will only be for 4 weeks in the month of July. If you did not get a dvd of the show, text me on Monday. I will wait a couple of days before turning them in to Mr Soulder. I will post on Facebook in the next couple of weeks a special day to pick yours up at the studio. I have said it before and I will say it again…. These videos are great keepsakes and worth every penny.
Have a great summer everyone and I will see you soon.
