🐛 Butterfly Crossing! 🦋

We are honored to have partnered with Clark College's Child & Family Studies to facilitate a six-week residency program, where we were inspired by the imagination and creativity of these very young artists. Using the bilingual one-act play 'Mariposa/Butterfly' by Sandra Fenichel Asher and José Casasas as their guide, these littles embraced the creative process, culminating in an adorable and "awww"-inspiring Butterfly Parade on Clark College's campus!

And the most exciting news of all? Their creativity will directly affect the development of OCT's upcoming production of Mariposa/Butterfly, with special performances happening at Clark's campus in the spring of 2027!

Join us at noon at The Abbey for a fun puppet-making craft with Faerin Millington! Then, Tevis Hodge Jr will open the show with a short set of family-friendly blues music, followed by a set by the Red Yarn Band. Then, Red Yarn & friends—including Tevis on guitar & guest vocalists Alexis Walker & Brael Armstrong—will present several new songs from their brand-new, upcoming family musical, "Saturday Night at the Briar Patch!"⁠
