Reconnecting with my remaining family has been more fulfilling than I could have imagined. My uncle's birthday was recently and, hoping his weirdo sense of humor matched mine, I created this unhinged piece. I couldn't quite capture how beautiful my aunt is but creating this piece made me laugh the whole time and carried me through a really bad few days. This painting is filled with laughter and hope and love. I couldn't be more grateful to be the weirdo of my family connecting with the weirdo of my father's family, my uncle Rich. Thank you for connecting with me 💖 I'm so so grateful.
