"I've learned isn't a place, it's a feeling"

Social media has revealed to me that I am at the age where many of my friends and friends-of-friends are losing their life-long companions. As someone who has never had a furry friend til end, I can't entirely relate to the grief and sense of loss that must be overwhelming and difficult to let pass. However, I know that the most is generally in relation to what also brings the greatest , more than can ever be said. These loving beings elevate our lives in countless ways we would have a much harder time doing ourselves, both emotionally and physically-- improved cardiovascular health, reduced anxiety/depression and lessons on the value of patience and kindness.

are undoubtedly among my favorite commission requests! It is quite a privilege to be entrusted with creating meaningful commemorations that are tied so deeply to personal experience. A thousand gazes is infinitesimal to the one smile I can bring to a person's face, more importantly the that touches their heart.
It reinforces the true of as to why art brings me so much . To ! To ! To look and to feel (all the feels)!

Looking forward to the day that I, myself will be able to bask in the pure sensation of just & the in existing that comes with such a friend by my side.

Side note: I'm liking this "quote" thing! Have always loved 'em. Succinct and timeless. Like that of except sourced from a fellow representative of while absent of and . Although dangerous at times, it does a wonderful job at setting the tone for not only image that I post but the idea I attempt to illustrate with it. I dig it 😎

"We are never so defenseless against as when we "

With each of us leading our own busy individual lives, from the mercy of our hectic work schedules to carefully curated daily routines, we can lose a little bit of ourselves in the process of each day. Finding balance by investing within ourselves between the physical and plane benefits mind, body and spirit; as well as for the loved ones around us. To achieve contentment, I believe it's beneficial acknowledge the in our day-to-day lives. By remaining objective, we attain a clarity that allows us to reach a , a term that serves as a basic premise to many belief systems which describes. Question everything. Question yourself. And I won't yank ya chain, reading this back to myself, I can recognize how " " it all sounds but given the chaotic state of , what's a little worth from time to time? Here are a few challenges I've personally overcome, or intend to, through the past few years that I'd like to share:

#2017: Learned to love and care for myself in the same measure I do so for others
#2018: Embraced spontaneity and the value of being present in the moment
#2019: Committing to taking bold risks; stop letting the fear of falling keep me from flying

Cum one, cm all! Welcome to my art page & brace yourselves for a spiel on the ! Although it's true that a picture is worth a thousand words, I wanted to express a complex idea using some of my own:

First and foremost, I want to make clear that a woman's power does NOT come from her s*xuality.

TRUE embraces the inherent differences in men and women through their physical, behavioral, emotional and psychological beings. It is imperative we affirm and celebrate differences in and qualities as wonderful and complementary. As individuals and a community, we must acknowledge how each are made stronger by the presence of the other, rather than let so be misconstrued as evidence for either being superior. Educating ourselves is just as important as raising our children to understand and appreciate the between s*xes.

is in and of itself! It is dangerous to imply that a woman's worth is indicative by how they allow or deny their bodies to be touched as a demonstration of power, and even more so to synonymize that with responses to the solicitation of men's desires. Not only does this objectify women and reduce their value to looks vs personality, but also encourages gender stereotypes that feed dating scripts, promotes s*xual manipulation that turns the bedroom into a battleground for unrelated conflicts which can exacerbate the toxicity of r**e culture and, ironically, REPRESS women's s*xuality.
Don't get me wrong: It is always acceptable to deny s*x, but never in an attempt to alter a partner's behavior/emotions. This applies to BOTH women and men.

Whether it’s s*x, food, or life experiences, society’s view of the ideal woman as undemanding and self-restrained pressures women to repeatedly say “no.”
But what if we taught ourselves that power can lie in asserting desires, even if it means saying "yes?"

can be knowing that our bodies are not rewards for good behavior but living, breathing entities housing human beings & knowing that decisions based on your body are your own, and yours alone
