OLS presents over 200 concerts and events a year, including rock, folk, jazz, blues, Celtic, bluegrass, world, comedy, film and more. The venue offers intimate seating for nearly 180, a superb sound system, a full bar service and delicious treats. OLS is all ages, all the time.

We're so excited to welcome five new Maine artists or bands into the Longfellow Emerging Artist Fellowship next year! LEAF is a yearlong program designed to help emerging musicians build more sustainable careers through financial support, paid performances, mentorship, workshops with music industry professionals, creative opportunities, and connections throughout Maine's music community.

Maine Jewish Film Festival presents the Maine premiere of Dust Bowls and Jewish Souls: Another Side of Woody Guthrie, exploring the profound influence of Jewish culture and Yiddish poet Aliza Greenblatt on Woody Guthrie’s music, family, and worldview. Before the film, Woody’s granddaughter Sarah Lee Guthrie will perform a special short set featuring songs from across the Guthrie family songbook and her own catalog. Guests can also enjoy baked goods generously provided by Lewiston’s She Doesn’t Like Guthrie’s, in support of MJFF and their shared love for Woody Guthrie.

Howley(formerly of We Banjo 3) makes their maiden voyage to OLS!

Brothers David and Martin Howley made their name as founding members of We Banjo 3, bringing Irish traditional music together with Americana and bluegrass to become one of the most celebrated acts in Celtic-Americana. Now they're back with a brand-new project! Joined by Kiana June and Caitlin Leahy, Howley builds on that signature sound with soaring harmonies, fiery picking, and fresh arrangements.

Fans of We Banjo 3 will find plenty to love here, and we're excited to hear what this new chapter brings to our stage!

One of our favorite parts of LEAF this year has been getting our fellows in a room with the people doing this work every day.

Talent buyers, venue folks, working musicians, marketers, producers and other music industry professionals have joined us throughout the year to talk candidly about how this industry actually works, share what they’ve learned, answer questions, and make the whole thing feel a little less mysterious.

That access, and those relationships, are a big part of what our Longfellow Emerging Artist Fellowship is all about. 🌱
