OLS presents over 200 concerts and events a year, including rock, folk, jazz, blues, Celtic, bluegrass, world, comedy, film and more. The venue offers intimate seating for nearly 180, a superb sound system, a full bar service and delicious treats. OLS is all ages, all the time.

Mr Sun is back at OLS! ☀️

We usually get to see these longtime friends of our stage around the holidays for their annual Nutcracker Suite, but this time they’re celebrating the release of their new album, The Idea Guys, out September 4!

Bluegrass, jazz, folk, and American roots music all find their way into Mr Sun’s adventurous take on acoustic string music. Fiddler Darol Anger, guitarist Grant Gordy, mandolinist Joe K. Walsh, and bassist Aidan O’Donnell bring decades of experience to the group, with inventive arrangements and some truly exceptional musicianship at the center of it all.

Years of friendship, shared stages, and creative collaboration have taken them throughout New England and beyond, with Cosgrove becoming a regular part of Garvey’s recordings and live performances. Just one more summer evening of our free summer series in the Square! 🌙

This Thursday, August 27, we’re wrapping up our fourth season of Square to Square with a LEAF Showcase featuring Melvin Gradiz and Heather Lynn from 6 - 8 PM in Congress Square Park!

This series is such a special extension of what we do at OLS: making live music accessible, gathering with neighbors and strangers, and sharing a couple of hours together in the heart of our city. It’s truly one of our favorite parts of the year and we're always sad to see it go!!

Thank you to everyone who joined us this summer! Keep your fingers crossed for a clear evening 🤞 and come help us send off the season together!

This four-day celebration brings together bluegrass and old-time music, camping, food and craft beer, plus a whole host of hands-on skillshares covering everything from beekeeping and blacksmithing to sourdough, bike repair, plant identification, woodworking, and more.

It all happens on the same beautiful grounds as Ossipee Valley, with a lineup featuring Appalachian Road Show, Authentic Unlimited, The Kruger Brothers, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, Hubby Jenkins, Tricky Britches, and many more. A songwriter, storyteller, and sharp-eyed observer of the world around him, Dan Bern has spent decades building a devoted following with songs that can be funny, biting, tender, and completely unpredictable. We’re excited to have him back in our room for an intimate night at OLS!
