Leap into Spooky Season at our Thrills & Chills Mini Camp! Dancers will enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of dance, creativity, and movement with a spooky twist! Through ballet and creative dance, dancers will explore festive activities, learn fun choreography, and let their imaginations run wild. We’ll wrap up the afternoon with a special presentation for families.

Introducing Anna Lee, a new member of Portland Ballet’s Board of Directors!

After living in Maine for the past six years, attending Portland Ballet performances, and returning to the studio through Ballet Essentials for Adults, Anna developed a deep appreciation for Portland Ballet and its future. When the opportunity arose to become more involved, joining the Board felt like a meaningful way to support an organization she had already come to admire.

BALLET FOUNDATIONS | CENTER WORK

After developing strength and fine-tuning placement at the barre, dancers bring the same principles into the center of the studio. Exercises in center challenge dancers to maintain their alignment while developing greater control and balance. Center work teaches dancers how to connect individual steps into the movements they will eventually perform on stage.

Celebrate spooky season at Thrills & Chills on October 24. This family-friendly performance features Halloween-themed dances performed by students of the Senior and Pre-Professional Divisions. Come in costume and join the fun!

Portland Ballet is seeking Production Assistant Interns for Dracula, Thrills & Chills and A Victorian Nutcracker. Interns will work alongside the artistic and production teams, gaining hands-on insight into what it takes to bring Portland Ballet's largest productions of the season to the stage.

By providing backstage, administrative and operational support, interns will play an important role in keeping each production organized and running smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity to experience firsthand the work that happens behind the scenes and tobuild practical skills in performing arts production.
