Already SOLD! But here’s my latest! After not using my airbrushes in like two years. I got off to a rough start. But in the end I’m happy with the result. It’s not a shirt. It’s a painting that they will hang on their wall!

Many of you might not be aware. But when I was a kid my favorite part of a hot rod and custom car magazine besides the Roth and Mouse adds. And any article about Roth’s latest car. Was the section were they printed drawings of hot rods and customs submitted by the readers. I was in Rod Powell’s shop once and he showed me where a magazine printed one of his drawing when he was in high school! So C👀L! The modern CarToons magazine does that these days. But sadly magazines are dying off. So the only place that something that C👀L could happen is up here on the net! In this case readers Rat Fink drawings. And it’s not about being a professional artist. Although pros can participate if they want. But the kinds of drawings you folks have been sharing. A whole lot of Finkin’ Fun! Not some polished masterpiece that’s just intimidating to guys who just like to doodle! But keep it casual Quickie Finkies, just for the fun of it! It’s not a contest! It’s just for fun! Below is a Qu**ky Finkie I did at a pizza restaurant after scarfing my slice just for fun. Put it away and forgot about it until it showed up recently while vowing through junk. Which gave me the idea for this. Hot Rod & Custom car drawings are acceptable too. Just post ‘em in the comments below, please keep ‘em within FB community standards! Or I’ll have to delete them. Have fun!

"On August 8th 1982 a line drive foul ball hits a four year old boy, Jonathan Keane, in the head at Fenway Park. Jim Rice, realizing in a flash that it would take EMTs too long to arrive and cut through the crowd, sprang from the dugout and scooped up the boy.
"He laid the boy gently on the dugout floor, where the Red Sox medical team began to treat him. When the boy arrived at the hospital 30 minutes later, doctors
said Jim's prompt actions were instrumental in saving the boy's life. Jim returned to the game in a blood-stained uniform. A real badge of courage.
"After visiting the boy in the hospital, and realizing the family was of modest means, he stopped by the business office and instructed that the medical bill be
sent to him.
"The spring following the incident, Jonathan was asked to throw the ceremonial first pitch for the Red Sox's home game opener. He gladly accepted and had the opportunity to reconnect with Rice."

I know it’s been a long time coming. But there’s movement folks! Surprised even me to be honest. But in the last few days. I’ve actually done new stuff in my sketchbook! Feels good!

Sketchbook dribble… What if Ub Iwerks designed Rat Fink?

My latest brain dripping into my sketchbook! What if Ub Iwerks had designed “Rat Fink??!” If “Ub Iwerks” doesn’t ring any bells. He’s Walt Disney’s friend, and early collaborator. Who actually designed off of Walt’s idea for an animated character “Mickey Mouse”. Ub designed what “Mickey Mouse” actually looked like. Despite what you might feel about what Micky has come to represent. Ub’s design is actually a work of genius! Almost perfectly suited for the reality of hand drawn animation. Drawing the same character over, and over millions of times. Mickey is a simple, and ingenious design. You have to give Walt, and Ub that, anyway!

But in this wild hair, artistic, excursion of mine. Some Rat Fink fans might even say “blasphemous idea!” You take an crazy inspiration, add in my muck raking, sick, mind to the equation! With my tongue firmly tucked into my cheek! And you get weirdness such as this! Relax it’s only lines on paper… still you’ll never unsee this… And I’ve got you all right where I want you! (Evil laughter) 😜💨

Ed “Shaky” Reed sign writer guy actually popped into my head before I did the Ub lwerks RatFink. But I actually did him yesterday. Fingers crossed that this momentum will continue! And more new stuff will dribble from my aging brain…
